Shlomo Khoudari, Elion Partners’ co-founder and Managing Partner, recently presented at Information Management Network’s U.S. Real Estate Opportunity and Private Fund Investing Forum in Rhode Island. The event convened some of the most prominent GP and LPs, and featured presenters from some of Elion’s largest industry peers. Speakers hailed from firms including Allstate Investments, Apollo Global Management, Blackstone, Bridge Investment Group Partners, Lazard Asset Management, Oaktree Capital Management, and many more.
Shlomo presented on a panel titled “Price Determination/ Valuation Factors-Income Vs. Replacement Cost Vs. Comps.” He was joined by Chad Cooley of AWH Partners, Brandon Huffman of Rubenstein Partners, and Jordan Socaransky of Westport Capital Partners. The discussion ranged from: tips for managing rising interest rates, tax changes and foreign cash flows; to “how to value your debt”; to comparing and contrasting secondary and primary markets. Shlomo shared wisdom on Elion’s fundamental valuation techniques, which anchor the unique investment philosophy that has led to the firm’s success. As our investor base knows, we approach investing with the mind of wealth managers, focusing on the preservation of long-term capital, rather than being reactive to rapidly changing markets.
