
Michael Tussie
Chief Investment Officer
Michael Tussie is Chief Investment Officer at Elion and a member of the firm’s Senior Management and Investment Committees. He leads the firm’s investment strategy, capital formation, and platform growth. In his role, Michael is focused on developing new products and strategic partnerships including joint ventures, co-GP structures, and M&A opportunities and expanding into industrial adjacent industries. He works closely with the investment and operations teams to ensure execution reinforces Elion’s long-term positioning, while deepening relationships with global investors and consultants to keep the firm ahead of market cycles and peer strategies.
Prior to joining Elion, Michael co-led institutional capital raising for Real Assets in the Americas at UBS Private Funds Group working in Real Asset secondaries and primaries, where he managed relationships with leading global public pensions, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, consultants, secondary investors and various other global strategic investors. In this role, he originated and executed capital advisory mandates for private real asset sponsors across infrastructure, real estate, and credit, helping position clients with institutional investors and complete fundraising programs.
Before UBS, he was at Abacus Capital Group, where he directed portfolio management and capital raising across discretionary funds and customized mandates while diversifying the institutional client base. Earlier in his career, Michael was an Executive and Investment Committee Member at Summit Real Estate Group, where he reorganized and rebranded the platform from Summit family of companies, reduced exposure to retail and multifamily, and pivoted into industrial. He implemented institutional structures and launched the firm’s institutional capital platform.
Michael brings experience across the full investment cycle, with a background spanning both buy-side and sell-side engagements. He held various investment roles focusing on portfolio management, sourcing, diligence, and direct investing alongside institutional mandates.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Temple University and is a registered General Securities Representative (Series 7, 79, and 63). He is a member of PREA on the international affinity group and at ULI on the mixed use product council.
